Neil Alonzo Park
1931-2011


Our beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather peacefully passed from this earthly life on April 30, 2011.
Neil was born on Febrauary 25, 1931 to Stanzius Passey Park and Nellie Fern Lunt in Nephi, Utah. He was the fifth of seven children. He lost his mother at the age of 8, and he and his siblings were raised by their father in Nephi, Utah.
At the age of 19 he was called to serve an LDS mission to the Southern States Mission. While on this mission to serve the Lord, he met his eternal companion, Eleanor Ann Schmid. Neil and Ann were married in Atlanta on November 19, 1954. On November 29, 1954 they were sealed together for all time and eternity in the Manti, Utah temple.
Neil and Ann began their life together in Seaside, California, where Neil served in the U.S. Army at Fort Ord until 1955. Following his service to his country, they moved to Provo, Utah, where he attended and graduated from BYU with a BA degree in education. He touched many lives as a teacher, teaching for over 30 years. He had a great love for English, Literature, and Drama.
His hobbies included camping, gardening, traveling, reading, writing, and cooking. Neil also devotedly served the Lord as a temple worker and sealer in the Atlanta Temple for 30 years. Neil and Ann shared a great love for temple work and together were called to serve a two year mission in the Stockholm, Sweden Temple in May 2005. Neil had a great love of family and centered his life around family showing unconditional love and unending devotion. Neil is now reunited with family gone before him.
He will be greatly missed here on Earth but our family too will be reunited in the eternities.
He was preceded in death by 1 grandchild, 2 brothers, and 2 sisters. Mr. Park is survived by his wife of 56 years: Eleanor Ann Park, Dacula, GA; children: Fern Ann Warren, Norcross, GA; Allen Neil Park, Dacula, GA; Lezli Mae and Kent Dickinson, Tooele, UT; Stanzius John and Nicole Park; James Rueben and Christy Park, all of Dacula, GA; Clara Angelina and Mike Dudack, Murray, UT; sisters: Clara Daphne Park, Murray, UT; Melba Ann Jensen, Nephi, UT; 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Theodore "Ted" Orton Jones
1935-2011


Theodore Orton Jones, beloved husband, father, grandfather, age 76 passed away May 8, 2011 in Nephi, Utah.
He was born March 27, 1935 in Parowan, Utah, to Bert Theodore and Elta Orton Jones. He married Donna Faye Malmgren April 16, 1955 in Levan, Utah. Their marriage was later solemnized in the St. George LDS Temple, April 19, 1972.
Raised during the last of the depression, he learned at a young age the value of hard work. He kept this work ethic through out his life with many jobs. He worked as a sales representative for 16 years for Pexton Wholesale. In 1972 he built a new building and owned and operated TJ's Drive Inn for 18 years with his wife. He was employed by Mid-State 5 years before retiring at the age of 67.
He gave services to his community by membership in the Lions Club for 40 years and serving as President. He was a member and president of the Ute Stampede Committee, member of Nephi Western Credit Union credit committee, and member of the Nebo Posse. He was a member of the LDS church serving as a home teacher.
He was a fun loving husband, father, and grandfather.
He is survived by his wife, Donna of 56 years; sons, Michael (Ann) Jones; Gary (Lori) Jones; Val (Heidi) Jones; 13 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren, all of Nephi. Preceded in death by his parents; sister, Marie Bostwick; brother, Don W. Jones; great-granddaughter, Reggie Bell.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 11, 2011, in the Nephi Stake Center, 351 North 100 West. Family and friends may call at the church one hour prior to the services. Interment will be in Vine Bluff Cemetery, Nephi, Utah.
