A fatal crash occurred at 10:44 a.m. on, Sunday, May 24. 
The accident happened on I-15 near mile marker 237, near Mona, said Hoby Metz, Utah Highway Patrol Sgt. 
“The vehicle was a 1984 GMC K1500 that had altered suspension,” said Metz. “The left tire on the vehicle lost its tread and the driver of the vehicle lost control.”
Metz said that the southbound vehicle skidded into the median turning counterclockwise and rolled twice coming to rest on its top. 
The driver, who was not wearing a seat belt, was ejected and was dead at the scene. 
There were no other occupants in the vehicle. 
“At this time, the family of the driver who was killed have not been located, so the name is being withheld,” said Metz. 
UHP Trooper Joseph Krebs was the investigating officer.
