Olive Rayola Wankier

Olive Rayola Wankier, 88, passed away April 1, 2013. She was born April 3, 1924 in Moroni, Utah to John Victor and Edna Blanche Draper Cooper. She married Keith Shepherd Wankier on July 21, 1943 in Nephi, Utah. They were sealed on June 29, 1982 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She graduated from Juab High School.
She then moved to California and had three sons: Michael, Gregory and Erric Wankier. Along with raising them, she was a Cub Scout Leader, a Little League Team Mom and sang with their LDS Church Choir. She then went to work for Douglas Aircraft, Co., ending her career there after 20 years as an Executive Secretary. She then moved with her husband, Keith, to St. George and found her next love (work) with Daughters of the Utah Pioneers.
She is survived by her sons: Michael (Norma), Gregory (Carol) and Erric (Bobbi) Wankier; grandchildren: Christine, Tami, Mack and Joanna Wankier, Denise Lorragoity and her sons, Dylan, Evan and Jacob (Courtnie); and great-granddaughter, McKenzie. She is also survived by her brother, Gerald (Carol) Cooper; and brothers-in-law: Sherman (Yvonne) Wankier and Alan Ostler.
Funeral services were held Friday, April 5, 2013 at the Bloomington Hills LDS 5th Ward Chapel in St. George, Utah. Interment followed at the Levan, Utah Cemetery.
