Juab High School's Drama Department will present Christopher Sergel's stage adaptation of Harper Lee's novel "To Kill A Mockingbird", March 14, 15, 16, and 18 at 7:30 pm in the Juab Auditorium.
The unforgettable novel of a childhood in a sleepy Southern town and the crisis of conscience and race that rocked it became both an instant bestseller and a critical success when it was first published in 1960. The story is compassionate, dramatic, and deeply moving. Both the novel and this stage adaptation takes its readers and its audiences to the roots of human behavior–to innocence and experience, kindness and cruelty, love and hatred, humor and pathos. Harper Lee always considered her book to be a simple love story. Today, it is regarded as a masterpiece of American literature.
Juab's Drama department is proud to bring this story to life onstage. Cast members include: Jean Louise Finch–Kaitlyn Wright, Scout – Emily Wilson, Jem – Cameron Welburn, Dill – Taylor Ludlow, Atticus – Leland Clement, Calpurnia – Regan Warner, Miss Maudie Atkinson – Ashley Whimpey, Miss Stephanie Crawford – Sierra Orten, Mrs. Dubose – Mickelle Baird, Nathan Radley and Boo Radley – Kolten Kendall, Heck Tate – Kiel West, Judge Taylor – Riki Squire, Reverend Sykes – Kelly Elison, Mayella Ewall – Kielei Beard, Bob Ewall – Ben Todd, Walter Cunningham – Kameron Olsen, Mr. Gilmer – Samuel Holladay, Tom Robinson – Tagalou Tapusoa, Helen Robinson – Misha Westfall, Court Reporter – Valarie Burke, Mrs. Link Deas – Delayna Tolbert, Voices – Kat Hickman, Savannah Peterson and Delayna Tolbert, Student Directors – Delayna Tolbert and Valarie Burke.
