Two Juab School District Board members were sworn into office on January 18 at the beginning of board meeting.
Darin Clark, Juab School District Business Administrator, administered the oath of office to Mary D. Nielson, District #3, and Dale D. Whitlock, District #2.
Alicen Allred, Juab School District #1, was sworn in earlier because she was excused from board meeting because of family business.
None of the board members ran opposed in the general election.
"One change was made to the oath this year," said Tracy Olsen, board member. "The word 'state' that had been in the oath in the past had been replaced by the words 'State of Utah.'"
He said the change had been made by the legislature last session.
Following the oath of office, Linda Hanks, board president, reminded board members that annually all board offices were up for election.
"We have the opportunity to reorganize the board leadership annually," said Hanks.
Tracy Olsen, board member, said that he would make the motion that the board leadership remain as it was presently.
"I make the motion that we appoint Linda Hanks as president of the board and Mary Nielson as the vice-president," he said.
The motion was seconded by Whitlock and the voting was unanimous.
"I thank you for your continued support," said Hanks.
