Kenneth Fred Lynn
1933 ~ 2016

On the evening of Monday, December 26, 2016 we were saddened by the loss of our family patriarch. He was the strength and foundation of our family. We were blessed to have him pass peacefully at home with his family by his side after battling cancer and Parkinson's in these last few months of his life.
Kenneth Fred Lynn was born on July 16, 1933 in Mona, Utah to Fred and Viola Lynn. He was the firstborn of six children and was raised on a farm where he learned at an early age how to be responsible and the importance of hard work.
After graduation from Juab High School, Ken worked at Dugway Proving Grounds for one year. He then joined the Army in 1952 and went to Korea, where he was a ballistic meteorologist. He was discharged in 1954 and moved to Phoenix, Arizona where he attended college. Ken started selling cars in Scottsdale, Arizona in 1958 and decided to make the car business his career. While in Scottsdale, he met Dorla Dean McFarland and they were married in 1969. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Manti Temple and in March they would have been married for 48 years. They then moved to Reno, Nevada, where Ken was the general manager of the Ford agency for eight years. His greatest accomplishment, work wise, was that he was the number one Ford dealer in the San Jose district in 1974 and 1975.
In Reno, he enjoyed coaching his sons' Little League and Babe Ruth baseball teams and won the state championship three times. In 1980 their family moved to St. George, Utah where he opened his own car dealership, Lynn's Auto Sales, which was in business for nearly 20 years. Ken retired after 50 years of being in the car business.
His favorite hobby was golf and he won several tournaments in Reno and St. George. He also had five holes-in-one. Ken and Dorla enjoyed being members of the Bloomington CC for many years. They also loved their many golf trips around the country; favorites being Branson, Missouri and Bella Vista, Arkansas.
Ken was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Ken is survived by his wife, Dorla of St. George, UT, his children, Rhonda (Kayle) Johnson of Nephi, UT, Wesley (Karla) Lynn of Mona, UT, Jeffrey (Annabel) Lynn of Tucson, AZ, Kendra (Sean) Hawes of St. George, UT, a son from a previous marriage,19 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren, one sister, Gayle (Gordan) Linton of Hacienda Heights, CA, 3 brothers, Wesley (Gayle) Lynn of Nephi, UT, Bryce (Marion) Lynn of Mona, UT, and Brett (Tammy) Lynn of Mona, UT.
He is preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Kirk Lynn and one son, James Lynn.
Funeral services were held Saturday, December 31 at 11am at Spilsbury Mortuary. Interment will take place at Tonaquint Cemetery.
Ken was successful in everything he did and will be greatly missed.
Special thanks to the doctors, nurses, and hospice care that kept Ken comfortable.
Friends and family are invited to sign his guestbook at www.spilsburymortuary.com.

R. Delos Andrews
1927 ~ 2016

R Delos Andrews slipped peacefully from this life on December 25, 2016 (Christmas Day) at the age of 89. Surrounded by many family members, he died at his home in Salem, Utah, of natural causes a few weeks before his ninetieth birthday.
Delos was born on January 19, 1927 in Aurora, Utah, the third of five children born to Orvil and Millie Jane (Durfee) Andrews. He had two brothers and two sisters.
He graduated from North Sevier High School in Salina, where he was active in sports, especially loving baseball and basketball. He and his two brothers were highly competitive, playing on high school, town and church ball teams. On June 14, 1945 he married his high school sweetheart, Maxine Dyreng, in the Manti Utah Temple. Together they raised five children, three daughters and two sons, and have always been the perfect example of a couple in love.
Improving his life and providing for his family were of prime importance to Delos.
He was taught by his father to be a farmer, cattleman, and a hard-worker, receiving the FFA American Farmer Degree in 1948. He developed a skill for evaluating livestock and worked as a broker for large cattle companies in both California and Arizona. While in California, he went to Auctioneer School and entertained family, friends, and ward members with that unique talent on many occasions.
Through the years, he and Maxine lived and worked in Aurora and Payson, UT; Downey and San Luis Obispo, CA; Tempe and Green Valley, AZ. They returned to Utah in 1970 living in Mona, Spanish Fork and Orem before building their home in Salem in 1980.
Always an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Delos served in bishoprics, high councils, Young Men and the Sunday School organization. He and Maxine served as workers in the Provo Temple and as missionaries in the LDS Cannery in Springville and the Orlando Florida Temple. He loved the outdoors, riding horses and four-wheeling. He took great joy in providing these activities for his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Delos is preceded in death by his parents, sisters Ula May (died as a youth) and LaVeda Taylor, and brother, Neldon. He is survived by his loving wife of 71 1/2 years, Maxine of Salem, UT; brother Verness (Elizabeth) of Payson, UT; children: Melvin Delos (Katherine) of, La Place, LA; Connie Lee (Barry) Booth of Gilbert, AZ; Patsy (Thomas) Young of Walla Walla, WA; Julie (Reed) Turnbow of Salem, UT; Steven Lane (Rita) of Rio Linda, CA. He is the proud grandfather of 31 grandchildren and 66 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 31, 2016 at the Salem 4th Ward LDS Church. Interment will be at the Salem City Cemetery.
The family wishes to thank the staff at Parkway Health Center in Payson and iCare Hospice in Springville for their care and kindness this past month.
