He was born July 6, 1925 in Providence, Utah to Samuel Christian and Ruth Woolford Spring. He was the third of six children.  After high school he enlisted in the Navy to serve our country during WWII. They were married in the Logan LDS Temple February 20, 1945. They would have been married 67 years in February. Together they have five children. He was a lifelong faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and served as bishop, high council member, and a temple ordinance worker in the Manti Temple. After retiring, he moved to Levan, Utah where he was a valuable community member, serving on the Levan town council, working as a town water master, organizing and starting the Levan Town Fire Department, and restoring the Old Juab County Jail for the DUP Museum, just to name a few. He was a great handyman, gardener, and big jokester!  He was loved by everyone he met and was a wonderful example to all.
