A Nephi woman is scheduled to appear in 4th District Court on Thursday on charges of lewdness and unlawful sexual conduct with teens.
The waiver hearing, in which certain steps of the legal process can be waived, such as a preliminary hearing, for example, is set for Thursday, Jan. 3, 2008, at 9 a.m. before Judge Donald J. Eyre, Jr.
Charged with several counts is Leisa Ward, Nephi.
Attorney for Ward is Michael Esplin.
Ward was charged with 13 counts of unlawful sexual conduct with 16-17 year old teens and with two counts of lewdness, according to records filed in the 4th District Court.
There is a possibility that a continuance will be sought. Such a continuance must be applied for officially and approved by the judge before it is granted.
