Once Again

By Sarah Z. Gibson

The snow fall is quiet, graceful
It collects on the ground imperceptibly
And it's solitude is overbearing,
Almost mocking me.
The silence forces me to think of you
When you held me in your arms
Ran your fingers through my hair
Kissed me so tenderly,
As if I would break.
But now I stand here alone
In the snow,
and I yearn for you
To hold me once again
For the simple touch of your fingers
For you to kiss me so tenderly
Once again.
The wind howls through the trees
And tears so gently fall down my face
As I look into your eyes
That now only exist in my imagination
And how I wish it could all happen
Once again.
