A T. Rex Named Sue

Sue, one of the most complete Tyrannosaurus skeletons ever found proves to be the most famous dinosaur fossil of the past 10 years. Found in 1997 by Sue Hendrickson, Sue is the best example of a Tyrannosaurus rex. She is the largest, most complete specimen found to date. From her bones can be found her entire history, like two fused tail vertebrae that might be from her breaking her tail at some time. She is 41 feet long and 13 feet tall at the hip, and is tall as a double-decker bus. Scientists estimate that she would have weighed approximately 14,000 pounds in life. The best thing about Sue is that she fill in gaps where paleontologists were lacking. She has bones that have never been found with any other specimen.
