Tony K. Salisbury
1942 ~ 2022

Tony K. Salisbury, age 79, passed away September 5, 2022 in Provo, Utah. He was born September 28, 1942 in Nephi, Utah to Zelda and Bryon Johnson.

He met and married Rose Keisel, they later divorced. He worked at NRP, Moroni Feed, Mickelson’s, the National Guard and was the Culligan man in Nephi for many years. After retirement he volunteered many years and loved taking Trax to visit kids and grandkids. He was a senior companion, which he enjoyed very much. He loved motorcycles, fishing, camping, playing drums, playing pool, and most importantly he loved watching the WWE SmackDown wrestles every Monday and Friday. His family was important to him and he especially loved visiting his kids and grandkids.

Survived by his children: Cindy Salisbury, Draper; Vicky (Jim) Redmond, Springville; Cory and Carla Salisbury and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, Zelda and Bryon Johnson; grandchildren: Malarie Morgan, Skyler Newton, Mariah Allan, Jacob Allan and Brian Short.

Graveside services were held on September 10th at Vine Bluff Cemetery in Nephi, Utah.


Michael Lee Tidwell
September 22, 1944 - September 4, 2022

Michael Lee Tidwell, 77, went to his heavenly home on September 4, 2022.

He was born September 22, 1944, in Payson Utah. He is the son of Frank Vernon and Letha Isabelle Sperry Tidwell.

He married Alana Johnson on November 6, 1971. Their marriage was later sealed in the Bountiful Temple. He is survived by his wife and his children: Mikell and R Woodland, and Travis and Jessica Tidwell; his grandchildren: Kolton Thomas, Emisha Sill, Carington Woodland, Randee Woodland, Charlotte Tidwell, Finley Tidwell, Brandon Skaggs and Toby Skaggs; his great-grandchildren: Jaymison and Ryder Woodland.

Mike joined the Army National Guard in 1965 during the Vietnam conflict. He was in the 1457th Engineer Battalion. He was awarded a medallion for expert marksmanship.

As a young man he worked in the family coal business. He learned to drive diesel trucks at a young age and became very adept in his driving skills. He also worked for Allen’s grocery store. He had a strong work ethic even as a young man. He worked for long haul trucking as well as locally. He began working for Kennecott Copper in 1969 and retired in 2008. He began as a laborer in the refinery and ended his tenure with a number of years in the acid plant as a supervisor.

Preceded in death by his parents and siblings: Fred and Zelda Tidwell, Letha Alene Tidwell, Donna and Earl Chapman, Charles Tidwell, Dwane and Ardys Tidwell, William Roger Tidwell and Wallace Tidwell.

Surviving members of the Tidwell family: Marcia and Michael Jarrett, Carolyn Tidwell, Ruth Tidwell and many surviving nieces and nephews.

He enjoyed spending time with his family, his children and grandchildren were his delight.

Funeral services were held Saturday, September 10, 2022, at Woods Cross 7th Ward Chapel, 2064 S. 800 W., Woods Cross, Utah. Military Honors and interment took place at Vine Bluff Cemetery, 1200 N. 400 E., Nephi, Utah. Escorted by Patriot Riders of Utah.
