Michael Malloch
1977 ~ 2022

Michael Joe Malloch was a beloved son, brother, uncle and friend. He was born on September 22, 1977 and was 44 years old at the time of his passing in the early morning of May 14, 2022. He is survived by his parents Donald and Cynthia Ann Malloch, as well as his siblings Donald (April) Malloch the III, Laura Baggett, Darlene (Dan) Keller, Annette (Craig) Thatcher, James Malloch, Michele (Jerrel) White, Sarah Malloch, Harvey Malloch, Peter (Becky) Malloch, Samuel (Lisa) Malloch, Nathanael (Ashlee) Malloch, Ruth (Dan) Maloy, Anna Strong, and Ashley Saldaņa. He was greeted in Heaven by older brother Joseph Malloch. He is also survived by his numerous nieces and nephews.

Michael was always happy to share his pillow and play with each of them. He had a particularly close relationship with his nephew Jared, who frequently sprung Michael loose from his wheelchair so that Jared could take the wheelchair for a spin.

Michael enjoyed going to church to see his myriad friends. He loved meeting new people. Michael was always ready to share a smile and a laugh.

Due to his disability he could not speak, however, please do not confuse this with an inability to communicate as he could do that well. For those of us who knew how to communicate with him, we got the special privilege of seeing his prankster side. He was fond of playing jokes on all his siblings. He truly loved his life and was happiest when spending time with his family. He relished campouts and sing-a-longs around the fire.

He went to school in Prescott Valley in Arizona. He loved to learn and interact with the teachers, who worked patiently with him. He treasured all the new inventions and toys that his dad, Donald Malloch, was constantly creating to help keep him entertained.

Michael adored shopping and picking out his own clothes. He had an affinity for chocolate pudding, cheesecake and Dr. Pepper. He loved action movies and going to the theater. Michael was delighted to go to the pool and be towed around by his family in his float. Christmas was his favorite holiday. He particularly liked to lay under the Christmas tree to look up at the lights, play with the ornaments, and check out the presents.

Michael cherished traveling with his family. Flying was his preferred way to go, but he also enjoyed a good road trip. He loved Hawaii, going to the luau and eating pineapple Dole whip. He appreciated all the fast roller coasters in Disneyland and Lagoon. And Michael was especially thrilled to visit the East Coast last autumn.

Michael Joe will be missed by all those who knew him.
