Juab County Commissioners need to replace or reappoint
members to three different boards.
Gordon Young, Mona, asked two years ago to be released as
a member of the Juab Water Conservancy District, said Wm.
Boyd Howarth, commission chair.
"We still haven't named anyone to replace him on the
board," he said.
In addition, Charles Jenkins and George Jackson, members
of the board, are at the end of three-year appointed terms
and must be reappointed, said Howarth.
On the Soil Conservation District Board three members are
up for either reappointment or for replacement.
"I have talked with Lynn Esplin, Tom Goble, and Blake
Garrett," said Howarth. Blake Garrett has indicated he no
longer wants to serve."
Ken Ware, a member of the Juab County Planning
Commission, resigned from the position effective Jan. 1,
2000.
"I hate to see Ken (Ware) leave the planning commission,"
said Glenn Greenhalgh. "He has been very good on the
commission and has done a lot to contribute to the future of
the county."
All of those who will not be returning as members of the
three boards will receive letters of thanks for the work
they have done and the time they have contributed.
Commissioners will consider replacements for the three
members who do not want to return to the positions they have
held for the past several years.
"We will make the appointments at commission meeting in
the near future," said Howarth. "The item will be placed on
the agenda in advance of the appointments being made."
