This New Year's Eve, a community celebration will be held in the 7th/8th Grade Center in Nephi. The theme will be "Ringing in the New Millennium&emdash;New York City Style." It will be a family event with fun for all ages.

The evening will feature an historical picture gallery, program, booths, trivia, refreshments, party favors, floor show, and dance. Live music will be provided by The Moonlighters who are back by popular demand after their appearance at the Juab Centennial Ball in 1996.

Everything will be done "New York City Style," including the countdown of the evening. Clocks will be set to Eastern Standard Time. The New Year will be ringing in at 10:00 p.m. local time. The evening will run from 5:30 to 10:30 p.m. MST. Attendees will be able to celebrate the remainder of the evening as they choose.

A photographer will be available, 8:00 to 10:00 p.m., to take souvenir portraits of families, groups or couples.

All proceeds from the evening will be donated to the renovation of the Juab Centennial Playhouse. The Playhouse has come to a standstill because of lack of funds. We hope to have it completed in 2000.
