John Earl Warner
1947 ~ 2014

John Earl Warner, age 66, passed away December 10, 2014 at his home in Nephi, Utah, surrounded by his loving family, after a long battle with heart and lung disease.
He was born December 16, 1947 in Salt Lake City to Earl Leroy and Alburta Cowan Warner. He married Barbara Ann Brough, July 8, 1966 in Nephi, Utah.  The marriage was later solemnized in the Manti Temple.  Together they have 4 children, 16 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren.
John was an active member of the LDS Church.  He had a strong testimony and a love of genealogy work.  He served as a Stake Genealogy specialist for several years. He loved trap shooting, fishing, and old westerns, in particular John Wayne movies.  John has served as president of the Nephi Gun Club and the Nephi Riding Club.   He had a great love for his dogs, especially Fatty and Buddy.
He had several lifetime friends, who were there for him until the end.  He loved and cherished those friendships. John worked as R.O.W Engineer for Mid-State Consultants.  He loved the people he worked with, both in Utah and other states.
John's greatest pride and joy were his children and grandchildren.  He was very proud of all of their accomplishments.  He valiantly fought to be here when his granddaughter, Sister Jaidy Warner, returns from her LDS mission this week, but he had his own mission to begin.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara; children, John Robert (Tammy) Warner, Michelle (Jeff) Davidson, Patrick (Jalena) Warner, and Ryan Warner, all of Nephi; 16 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers-in-law, Jim (Addie) Golden of Highland, and Mike (Nellie) Golden of Kaysville.  Preceded in death by his parents.
The family would like to express their deep appreciation to Bryan and Lisa Jacobson, Justin Seely, Central Valley Home Health, Central Valley Hospice, Dr. Hwang, Dr. Frishknecht, Dr. Rasmussen, all of the Central Valley Medical Staff, Lincare, and Mike Anderson, Joe Christensen, and Kay Anderson of Anderson Funeral Home.
Funeral services were held at 11 am on Monday, December 15, 2014 in the Nephi Stake Center, 351 N 100 W. Interment in the Nephi Vine Bluff Cemetery.
