Vera Wankier
Vera Mellor Wankier, age 80, passed away December 27,
2002 in Nephi, Utah.
She was born March 27, 1922, in Fayette, Utah, to
Joseph Merrill and Lily Watts Mellor. She married Clem
Joseph Wankier June 7, 1940, in Levan, Utah. Their marriage
was later solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple. He died Feb.
5, 1991.
She is survived by four daughters, Jayne Wilson of
Nephi, Lillian (George) Fish of South Jordan, Dorothy
(Newell) Rigby of Ogden, Judy (Lee) Pitcher of Clermont,
Florida; 11 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. She
was preceded in death by her husband, Clem and son,
Jack.
Funeral services were held Dec. 30, 2002, at the Levan
LDS Chapel. Interment in Vine Bluff Cemetery, Nephi, Utah.
