James Emmons

James Boyd Emmons, age 46, passed away at his home in Pocatello, Idaho, on Dec. 17, 2001, due to complications of diabetes. Jimmy was born on Aug. 18, 1955, in Provo, Utah, to James Robert and Rose Arlene Riley Emmons. He married Tammie Jo Pratt on Mar. 19, 1977, in Laramie, Wyoming.

He worked for the Union Pacific Railroad all of his adult life. Jimmy loved working on cars, and racing. He enjoyed camping. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ.

He is survivors include his parents, Arlene Emmons of Provo, and James Robert Emmons, of Laramie, Wyoming; his wife, Tammie, of Pocatello, Idaho; and children, Tabitha Jo Emmons, Jacqueline "Jackie" Emmons, Jamie Emmons, James Robert "J.R." Emmons, Jr., all of Pocatello, Idaho; one grandson; three sisters, Glenda Moore, of Mooreland, Oklahoma, LaRae Wilson, of Springville, Utah, and Christy Pratt, of Mapleton, Utah. Jimmy was preceded in death by his grandparents, and a brother, Robert LeRoy Emmons.

Funeral services were held Dec. 22, 2001, in Provo. Interment in the Provo City Cemetery.
