Effie Anderson

Effie Christina Bean Anderson, age 91, passed away Nov. 28, 2001 in Payson, Utah.

She was born Mar. 24, 1910 in Levan, Utah, to Martin C. and Christina Johanna Christensen Stephensen. She married Mont G. Bean May 17, 1929. He died July 13, 1963, they were later sealed in the Manti LDS Temple. She married Andrew Anderson Mar. 4, 1971. He died Sept. 13, 1977.

She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She enjoyed working in her yard.

She is survived by her children, Leola Stewart of West Valley, Merle B. (Jim) Downey of Benjamin, Glenna B. (Jessie) Wadkins of Nephi, Jimmy Mont (Marilyn) Bean of Mt. Pleasant, Gordon R. (Teresa) Bean of St. George; 22 grandchildren; 81 great-grandchildren; 25 great-great-grandchildren; brothers, Arlin (Nellie) Stephensen, and Meril (Myrtis) Stephensen. She was preceded in death by brothers, Lavern and Clem Stephensen; sister, Lucille Stephensen; 4 grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Dec. 1, 2001, in the Nephi 5th Ward. Interment in Vine Bluff Cemetery Nephi, Utah.


Katherine Ivy Seamons Teerlink

She was born Jan. 27, 1915 in Mona, Utah, to Alfred and Clara Yates Seamons. She married Nephi Teerlink Aug. 27, 1940, in Salt Lake LDS Temple. He died Aug. 30, 1991.

She was active in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and served in many callings. She loved working in the temple, where she worked in the Provo LDS Temple for over 8 years and the Manti LDS Temple for 2 years.

She is survived by two daughters and one son, Trenna (Monte) Robinson, and Valeen (Sam) Geldmacher, both of Mona; Val (Joni) Teerlink of Escondido, California; 6 granddaughters; 9 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband; brother, Arlan Seamons; two, sisters, Grace Price and Opal Hansen.

Funeral services were held Dec. 10, 2001, in the Mona LDS Chapel. Interment in the Mona Cemetery.


Colleen Ewell

Colleen M. Ewell, age 72, passed away Saturday, Dec. 8, 2001, at McKay-Dee Hospital following a short illness.

She was born Sept. 18, 1929 in Nephi, Utah, to Roy and Coquella McPherson. She attended Juab High School and the University of Utah.

Colleen married Kenneth Riddle and lived in Idaho Falls, Idaho. They later moved to Granada Hills, California, and Salmon, Idaho. They were later divorced. She married Clyde H. Ewell on Sept. 16, 1961, in Elko, Nevada. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Ogden LDS Temple.

Colleen worked in many church callings including the Relief Society and a church study group.

She worked for many years at the Ogden City School District.

She is survived by her husband, Clyde, of Ogden; daughter, Tamara Broderick; son, Scott L. (Leanna) Riddle of Roy; 6 grandchildren; 4 sisters and 3 brothers, Mary Ann (Rudy) DeYong of Richland, Washington, Ethel N. (Charles) Toply of Medicine Hat, Canada, Margaret (Rex) Hill of Bennion, Edith (Nilon) Pickering of Nephi, Mark (Florence) Robbins of Scipio, Seth (Arlene) McPherson, and Thomas L. (Donna) McPherson, both of Nephi. She was preceded in death by her parents; her former husband, Kenneth Riddle; one son, Thad Mace Riddle; and one sister, Florence Lovaas.

Funeral services were held Thursday at Lindquist's Ogden Mortuary. Interment, Lindquist's Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch.
