![]() A BUS RIDE BY DAWN'S EARLY LIGHT Students at Nephi Elementary School got a bus ride to the 7th / 8th grade center on Monday morning after custodians found a carbon monoxide build up at the school. According to Norman Wall, district spokesman, custodians Michelle Davis and Karen Stephensen found the carbon monoxide leak at the School around 6 a.m. Wall said the custodians heard a funny noise in the furnace area and investigated. After a carbon monoxide detector went off district personal were notified. Children reporting to school at 8 a.m. were transported to the 7th / 8th grade center to await repairs and clear the school of carbon monoxide, The repairs were made and classes resumed at the school around 10:30 a.m. Wall said that all schools with gas furnaces are outfitted with detectors and furnaces are checked regularly for proper operation. |
