Jessie G. Bailey
She was born Sept. 12, 1910, in Nephi, Utah, to
Joseph Hyrum and Pearl A. Belliston Greenhalgh. She
married Thomas Udall Bailey in the Manti LDS Temple on
Sept. 9, 1930. He preceded her in death in 1978. Jessie
was a member of the LDS Church. In her early years, she
served in the Young Women's Association and many years in
the Relief Society. After her husband died, she became
the developer of Y-Worry Estates subdivision in South
Jordan.
She is survived by children, Udean (Neil) Stephens,
and Robert (Carma) Bailey; nine grandchildren; 15
great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren;
brothers, Hyrum (Elsie) Greenhalgh, Ray (Mildred)
Greenhalgh, Stellman (Faye) Greenhalgh, Jim (Elaine)
Greenhalgh, and Clark (Marjorie) Greenhalgh. She was
preceded in death by one sister and two brothers.
Graveside services were held Tuesday, Nov. 23,
1999, in the South Jordan City Cemetery.
