Anna Brotherson
1916-2005
Our dear sweet mother, grandmother and sister, Anna Edna
Brotherson, 89, returned to Heavenly Father October 30, 2005
in Mt. Pleasant, Utah.
She was born the second of five children at home in
Wales, Utah, to Anna Margretha Anderson and Ephraim T.
Thomas on April 22, 1916. She spent her youth in Wales where
she attended school and spent many happy days developing
life-long friendships. She later graduated with honors from
the LDS Seminary and Moroni High School. She met her
sweetheart Grant B. Brotherson and was married on Aug 15,
1940 and later solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple on January
15, 1952. They spent most of their married life in Mt.
Pleasant where they raised their 3 children.
Our mother was an active member of The Church of Jesus
Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She served faithfully in many
church callings. She loved children. She was a wonderful
friend and neighbor. She loved spending time visiting with
her family, friends and neighbors. She was blessed with a
keen mind and had an excellent memory. She always
remembered special dates and events. She loved to sew quilt
blocks, read, write letters, and spent numerous hours doing
genealogy. She loved flowers and could name them all.
She loved her family and looked forward to the family
get-togethers. She didn't miss a blessing, baptism or
wedding. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren
and read to them often.
She is survived by her children, Leon (Alma) Brotherson,
West Jordan, UT; Jean (Jerry) Beck, Fountain Green, UT; and
Terry (LuCinda) Brotherson, Mt. Pleasant, UT; 10
grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. She is also
survived by her brother, Harold B. (Hilda) Thomas, Magna,
UT. She is preceded in death by her husband, Grant B.
Brotherson; parents, Ephraim and Anna Thomas; brother, Lavor
Thomas; sister and brother-in-law, Edith (Nyles)
Openshaw; sister Fern Thomas; sister-in-law Marie Kendall
Thomas; granddaughter, Carmandee Kae Brotherson.
Funeral services will be Friday Nov. 4, 2005 at 11:00
a.m. in the Mt. Pleasant 3rd Ward Chapel, 295 S.
State. Friends may call Thursday from 6-8 p.m. at
Rasmussen Mortuary, 96 N. 100 W. in Mt. Pleasant and Friday
from 9:30-10:30 a.m. prior to services at the church.
Interment in the Mt. Pleasant City Cemetery.
Isabel B. Haymond "Izzie"
1917-2005
Emma Isabel Bodell Haymond, age 88, passed form this
earth into the loving arms of her Heavenly Father on Oct.29,
2005 in Taylorsville, Utah, following a brief illness.
She was born February 17, 1917, in Salt Lake City, Utah,
at the home of her Aunt Lizzie to Joseph Samuel and Emma
Linda Hisky Bodell. She was the oldest of two children. She
married George Dilworth Haymond Jr. (Bud) on October 21,
1939 in Herriman, Utah. They had recently celebrated their
sixty-sixth wedding anniversary. Their marriage was
solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple on October 9, 1965.
Isabel was an active member of the LDS Church. She was a
Primary teacher and a Relief Society Visiting teacher for
many years. She was also a member of the Singing Mothers,
which sang at Women's Conference in the Tabernacle. She was
an active member in establishing the Nephi City Rose Garden
and helped care for it for many years. She was also active
in civic activities, especially in the school health and
immunization programs. She played a part in getting the high
school a skeleton so the students could study the bones of
the body. She was a member of the J.C. Janes and also a
member of the Beta Literary Club. Her school years were
spent in the Nephi City schools. She also worked along side
her husband Bud in the Nephi Drug Company. Isabel loved and
was most happy when surrounded by her family. She was a
compassionate and loving person. She was truly a Daughter of
God.
She is survived by her husband, Bud and her daughter,
Paula (Newell) Green; grandchildren, Laura (Jim) Beagley;
Mitch (Jennifer) Green; Mark (Kelly) Green; Bruce Jr.
(Melissa) Thompson; Judi (Milo) Beckstrom; Chad (Camille)
Thompson; eleven great-grandchildren; son-in-law, Bruce
(Linda) Thompson. She was preceded in death by her parents,
stepfather, Ora H. Lunt; daughter, Georgia Delene Thompson;
brother, Joe Bodell.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, November 3,
2005, at 1:00 p.m. in the Nephi 2nd Ward, 222 South 100
East. The family will receive family and friends from 11:30
to 12:30 prior to the services. Interment will be in Vine
Bluff Cemetery, Nephi, Utah.
Cleo Beth Molyneaux
1933-2005
Cleo Beth Simmons Molyneaux, age 72, passed away
peacefully in her sleep October 30, 2005 at her home in
Mona, Utah.
She was born October 18, 1933 in Lake Shore, Utah, to
John Hallam and Rhoda Hatfield Simmons. She married Clark
Lee Molyneaux November 10, 1951 in Mona. The marriage was
later solemnized Nov. 10, 1999 in the Manti LDS Temple. He
died February 26, 2005.
She loved to sew and spend all of her time with her
children and grandchildren. She devoted many years in taking
care of her husband. Thanks for all of your love and
kindness. You will be truly missed. We love you Mom.
Survived by her children, Debbie (Curt) Adams of Salem,
UT; Randy (Sarah) Molyneaux of Delta, UT; Jack (Cindy)
Molyneaux of Spanish Fork, UT; Ronda (Gordon) Jarrett, Scott
(Melanie) Molyneaux, and Jill (Jason) Haveron all of Mona,
UT; Lesa (Chad) Cronquist of Lindon; 22 grandchildren and 7
great-grandchildren; sister, Elaine Harmer; brothers, Larry
Simmons and Mike (Sheryl) Simmons. Preceded in death by her
husband, Clark and a son, Steven Molyneaux.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday,
November 3, 2005 in the Mona 1st Ward. Friends may call
Wednesday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the Anderson Funeral
Home, 94 W. 300 N. and at the church one hour prior to the
services. Interment will be in the Mona Cemetery.
Faye Winter
1921-2005
Faye Lynwood Larson Winter, age 84, passed away October
25, 2005 in Salt Lake City, Utah.
She was born May 7, 1921 in Gunnison, Utah, to Nester
Leon and Verna Mae Farr Lindsey Larson. She married LaMar
Winter November 20, 1940 in the Manti LDS Temple. He died
December 1992.
Survived by her children, Richard Winter; Leon (Susan)
Winter; Carol (Dan) Midkiff; 14 grandchildren and 19
great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her daughter, Judy
Winter Bosh and grandson, Marty Bosh.
Funeral services were held at 12 noon, Saturday, October
29, 2005 in the Levan LDS Chapel. Interment in the Levan
Cemetery, under the direction of the Anderson Funeral Home,
Nephi.
