Fay Pay

Fay LaJune Collard Pay, age 79, passed away October 25, 2004 at her home in Nephi, Utah. She was born July 26, 1925 in Fountain Green, Utah, to Harry Junius and Annie Veora Mikkelson. She married William Fowkes Pay in Provo, Utah, April 8, 1944. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple.

She attended schools in Fountain Green and Moroni, graduating from Moroni High School. Over the years she worked at the Colonial Manor, Rancho Trailers, Nephi Rubber Products, and the Moroni Turkey Processing Plant. She enjoyed summers going with her family to her father's sheep camp on the Sanpete Mountain. She enjoyed the outdoors and gardening. She was a primary, Sunday school teacher and Cub Scout leader.

She is survived by her husband; 4 daughters, Ellen (Ned) Anderson of Pocatello, Idaho, Sandra Pay, Karen Craigmiles and Linda Pay, all of Salt Lake City; 4 sons, Grant (Laurie) Pay of Santaquin, Billy (Jackie) Pay of Centerfield, Larry (Christina) Pay and Jeff Pay, both of Nephi; 1step-daughter, NaDeen Chappell; 26 grandchildren; and 39 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers, Edward (Pat) Collard of Bountiful, Harry (Barbara) Collard of Salt Lake City; 2 sisters, Ruth Symes of Magna, Joyce Anderson of Daniels. Preceded in death by her parents; 1 son, Glen Richard Pay; step-son, James Pay and wife Joyce; sister, Betty Collard; 1 grandchild, Tina Pay; 2 great-grandchildren Brandon Argyle and Rebecca Jacoby.

Funeral services were held October 30, 2004 in the Nephi Stake Center. Interment in Vine Bluff Cemetery, Nephi, Utah.


Wade Lyle Yates

Wade Lyle Yates age 44, passed away peacefully October 26, 2004 at his home in Nephi, Utah. He was born July 6,1960 in Delta, Utah, to Dee Willis and Jean Gowers Yates. He was raised and educated in Nephi; he furthered his education in Salt Lake City in the field of cosmetology, where he became a very successful stylist.

He had an appreciation for art, poetry, drama, music "especially Cher", the mountains.

He is survived by his mother; three brothers, Mont (Glenda), Clyde (Donetta), Marlow (Darla) Yates, all of Delta; three sisters, Cheryl Yates of Reno, Nevada, Chris (Dick) Christensen of Goshen, and DeEtte (Scott) Worthington of Nephi. He was preceded in death by his father.

His family and friends held a memorial service on October 30, 2004 to celebrate his life.
