Paul R. Peel
1931 ~ 2014


Paul R. Peel, the son of Orange Fredrick Peel and Karen Johanna Olsen died October 9, 2014. He was born December 16, 1931 in Mt. Pleasant, Utah. He served in the Great Lakes Mission as a young man. He served in the Korean conflict. He married Frances Bushman in the Mesa Arizona Temple. He spent his life farming in the south forty. He served missions to Nauvoo, Illinois and Adam-ondi-Ahman with Frances. He married Emalie Jones; they served in the  Independence, Missouri mission. He loved people and he loved to share the gospel. He loved to garden and share it with everyone. He is survived by his wife Emalie, sister, Ruth Nicholas, his children: Glen(Detina) and Dale(Maren) of Mt. Pleasant, Sylvia of Ogden, Larry(Makayla) of Bishop, Texas, Michael(Dorothy) of Paradise, Chris of San Jose, CA, Amelia(Jason) of Hyde Park and Gayle(Andrew) of Vernal and 7 step children and many, many grandchildren and great grandchildren, who he enjoyed and entertained. He was proceeded in death by parents, wife Frances, daughter Ruth Ann. The Peel Family would like to thank the Jones Family for their love and tender care for our father over the last few months.
Funeral services will be Friday, Oct. 17, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. Mt. Pleasant Stake Center, 295 S. State. A viewing will be at the Mona First and Second Building, 100 N Main, Thursday, Oct.16 6-8 pm and Fri at 9:00- 10:30 am prior to services at the church. Online condolences rasmussenmortuary.com


Mary Carter
1938 ~ 2014


Mary Ellen Krebs Carter, 76, loving wife, sister, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed away peacefully surrounded by family Sunday, October 12, 2014.  She was born February 23, 1938 in Scofield, Utah to Maxine Graham and John (Jack) Krebs.  She was a coal miner's daughter.  She married Keith Carter December 28, 1957.
She worked many jobs while raising her four boys.  She enjoyed camping and fishing and taking care of baby lambs.  She loved doing anything that involved her family and was especially proud of her grandkids.
She is survived by 4 sons; Kenny (Bridget), Curtis (Debbie), Corey (Tiffany) and Kyle (Edie); 12 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Joan Creer.  She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and two brothers, Jack and Jim.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 16th at 11:00 am at the Levan LDS Church where friends may call from 9:00 to 10:45 am prior to services.  Burial, Levan Cemetery under the direction of Anderson Funeral Home, Nephi.
