SIGNING UP TO BE DRUG FREE • First and second graders at Red Cliffs Elementary make the pledge to be Drug Free during Red Ribbon Week which runs from Oct. 8-12. Students were asked to sign their names on this big poster in the lunchroom/gym. Other area schools will hold similar activities later this month.
ARLENE AND THE MUTANTS • In a scene from those old Si-Fi movies, Arlene Griffiths of Nephi shows off mutant tomatoes that she raised in her garden this year. Jeff Banks, County Agent and the USU Ag geeks she contacted, said they have no idea what caused the plant to produce such weird fruit. Anyone having any ideas is invited to call her with an answer at 623-1038.
