Mary T. Tolley
1915-2007
Mary Francis Terry Tolley, age 92, passed away October 5, 2007 in Nephi, Utah.
She was born March 13, 1915 in Ruby Valley, Nevada, to Thomas Nelson and Elnora Ann Baldwin Terry. She married Charles Allan Tolley October 18, 1938 in Payson, Utah. The marriage was later solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple. He passed away June 14, 1986.
She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She had various church callings, but her favorite was being a Visiting Teacher and helping on the luncheon committee for the 6th Ward. She worked hard on the farm with her husband and daughters. Her life was filled with love and devotion to her family. She was a wonderful cook and seamstress. She loved to crochet and knit. She was kind and compassionate and always delighted in fixing meals to take to others in their time of need. She was a very independent person and lived alone up until her stroke on September 14, 2007.
She is survived by four daughters, Wilma Carr of Scottsdale, AZ; Joyce (Bill) Adler of Waskom, TX; Diane Tolley of Boise, ID; Betty (Jim) Wilkey of Nephi, UT; 13 grandchildren, 27, great-grand children, and 7 great-great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by a granddaughter, Jennie Marie Wayman; seven brothers and two sisters.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Monday, October 8, 2007 in the Nephi Stake Center, 351 North 100 West. Interment in Vine Bluff Cemetery, Nephi Utah.
