Voters will go to the poles to cast ballots in the General Election, November 4, 2003. The names of all persons who have qualified as candidates for the General Election will appear on the official ballot. Six candidates are running for three positions on the Nephi City Council: Brent Bowles (R), Melanie Eldridge (R), Brenda McPherson (D), Robert L. Painter (D), Kent Park (D), Jim Wilkey (R). In Mona, for Mona City Council (four year term): Rory L. Nielson, Cory Squire (vote for three). For Mona City Council (two year term): Quinton J. Kay (vote for one). In Rocky Ridge, for Town Council: Derek Andre, David Bunker, Bryan Allred (vote for two). Voting Districts are as follows: District #1&emdash;Daughters of Utah Pioneers Museum, 4 South Main, Nephi. District #2&emdash;Nephi City Hall, 21 East 100 North, Nephi. District #3&emdash;Juab County Building, 146 North Main, Nephi. District #4&emdash;Nephi City Police Department (new), 48 East 200 North, Nephi. Rocky Ridge&emdash;Community Center. Because of our printing schedule, elections results will be available on our web site Wednesday morning and will be printed in our edition of November 12th. Candidate statements start on page 2. Read their views and be sure and vote on November 4th. Your vote may make the difference, remember EVERY vote counts!
