The Nephi City Council met in regular session on
October 14th to review a grant application to finance a
skate park.
The grant would be supplied by the Land and Water
Conservation Fund Outdoor Recreation Matching Grants Program
and would help finance the construction of the skate park at
the Pink School Park.
Council member Jim Wilkey made the motion to authorize
the mayor to sign the grant applications and to proceed with
the application for grant funds. The mayor also needed to
certify that the city had the resources to finance its share
of the project and would bear the cost of operation and
maintenance on the completed project.
