Elwood Hall

Elwood Reid Hall, age 78, passed away Oct. 20, 2003 in Nephi, Utah.

He was born June 8, 1925 in Nephi to Perry Cleveland and Laura Francom Hall. He married Phyllis Bagley in the Manti LDS Temple, she later passed away. He married Willadeen Hamson in the Manti Temple she later passed away.

He was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving as a Bishop, Elder's Quorum President, Temple Sealer in the Manti Temple and many other positions. He served in the U.S. Navy in WWII. He was active in community service.

He is survived by his children, Reid (Jeralyn) Hall of Salt Lake City, Linda (Lorry) Stratton of Hurricane, and Kathy (Randy) Bird of Springville; sisters and brothers, Ruth (Joe) Jensen, Louise Lanier, George Hall, Lynn (Mary Ann) Hall, and Dick (Kathy) Hall; 11 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daugther, Beverly Hall Paystrup and a brother, Perry Hall.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, October 23, 2003 in the Nephi 3rd Ward, 345 East 500 North. Friends may call Wednesday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the Anderson Funeral Home, 94 West 300 North and at the church one hour prior to the services. Interment in Vine Bluff Cemetery.
