ORDINANCE NO. 10-07-03 AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING FIRE RESTRICTION ORDERS OF THE OFFICE OF THE STATE FORESTER WHEREAS, Nephi City Council has authority to pass ordinances to govern the affairs of the City pursuant to section 10-3-701 and 702, Utah Code Annotated; and WHEREAS, Nephi City Council finds that an ordinance adopting the fire restriction orders of the office of the State Forester is in the best interest of the city and its citizens; and WHEREAS, the State Forester has authority to adopt fire restriction orders pursuant to section 65a-8-9 and 65A-8-10 Utah Code Annotated; and WHEREAS, Nephi City Council finds that limitations on specific uses and activities are warranted to reduce the potential for damaging and costly forest and range fires. IT IS HEREBY ORDAINED that the following ordinance be adopted and, to protect the welfare of the City, shall become effective immediately. The City Council adopts and makes applicable to the City, all fire restriction proclamations of the office of the State Forester affecting Juab County, which are presently in force or which may be put in force in the future.
