Stella Hall
Stella Tidwell Hall, age 96, passed away on Oct. 1, 2002,
in Nephi, Utah.
She was born Nov. 19, 1905, in Moroni, Utah, the oldest
daughter of Willis Hyrum and Esther Margaret Nielsen
Tidwell. She married Lyndon Jesse Hall Sept. 21, 1932, in
the Manti LDS Temple. They were later divorced.
She was educated in Moroni. She continued her education
through correspondence classes from BYU. She was a homemaker
and loved sewing and canning. She was a member of the Church
of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many
positions and worked as a temple worker and singing in the
choir. She rented apartments to BYU students in Provo until
she was 90 years old. She worked at Learners Clothing Store
in Provo for many years. She was a resident at Heritage
Hills Health Care Center.
She is survived by one grandson, Ronald LeRoy Call III; a
sister, Adele Tidwell Jackson of Nephi. She was preceded in
death by a daughter, Marilyn Earla Call; a son, Lynn Leon
Tidwell; a brother, Willis Earl Tidwell; a sister, Rula Emma
Lamb.
Funeral services were held Oct. 4, 2002, at the Anderson
Funeral Home. Interment in the Moroni City Cemetery.
Frances Sperry
Frances Juanita Sperry, age 70, passed away Oct. 5, 2002,
in Nephi, Utah.
She was born Dec. 30, 1931, in Kingston, Tennessee, to
Reece and Annie Laura Booker Greene. She married Kenneth G.
Sperry March 18, 1960. He passed away Feb. 16, 1984.
She is survived by brothers and sisters; 4 grandchildren;
stepson, Tom Sperry. She was preceded in death by a stepson,
Terry L. Sperry.
Funeral services were held Oct. 8, 2002, at the Anderson
Funeral Home. Interment in Vine Bluff Cemetery, Nephi.
