Bonnie Butler
Ora L. "Bonnie" Sudweeks Paystrup Butler, age 75, passed
away Sept. 28, 2001, in Payson, Utah.
She was born Jan. 26, 1926, in Ephraim, Utah, to
Carlos O. and Katie L. Jensen Sudweeks. She married Reuben
Paystrup June 5, 1946, later divorced. She married Lamar M.
Butler Feb. 19, 1971. He died Nov. 17, 1994.
She was an active member of the LDS Church and served
in various callings. At the time of her death she was a
senior employee at the Forest Service, having recently
received an award as "Senior Employee of the Year." For most
of her working life she served as a Licensed Practical
Nurse.
She is survived by her children, David (Janna)
Paystrup of Pleasant Grove, and Shirley (Kirt) Kellett of
Moroni; 7 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren;
sisters, Leola (Charles) Pettersson, and Onita Messina. She
was preceded in death by her parents, infant daughter, a
great-grandson, brothers, Ralph and Jay, and sister,
Jean.
Funeral services were held Oct. 2, 2001, in the Nephi
North Stake Center. Burial in Vine Bluff Cemetery,
Nephi.
Robert Wilson
Robert Ray Wilson of Goshen passed away Oct. 1, 2001,
after a long illness. Bob was the fourth of six children
born to John Irvin "Dick" and Bertha Grace Anderson Wilson
of Nephi on Aug. 9, 1924. His mother died when he was 5
years old. Aunt Priscilla Wilson Nielsen, was like a mother
to this family. He married Florene Nielsen Apr. 27, 1946,
they were later sealed in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. They
were the parents of eight children. They later divorced. Bob
married Ann Cowan.
Bob served in the Navy during World War II. He worked
with his father in his young adult life, including running a
rolling mill in Elsinore, until it burned to the ground in
1958. He worked and retired from Geneva Steel Plant. He
lived in Orem until 1970, when he moved to Mona. His true
passion was helping his brother Glen on the farm. He was a
horse lover and belonged several riding clubs. He owned the
Mona Mall for awhile. He was an active member of the LDS
Church, holding numerous callings throughout the years. Bob
has spent many hours working at the Provo Temple the last
several years until this spring his health would no longer
permit.
He has seven living children Grace Ann "Rusti" (Dave)
Johnson, and Phyllis Wilson, both of Santaquin, Kent Robert
(Glenna) of Myton, Terry (Willy) of Salt Lake, Larry of
Siquard, Becky (Jeff) Kouns of Mona, and Jim (Penny) of
Goshen; 23 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and
several step-grandchildren; 3 step-sons, Tom Spotten of Salt
Lake City, Dan (Sheila) Spotten of Cedar Fort, and William
Spotton of Goshen; one step sister, Wanda Pully of American
Fork. He was preceded in death by his infant son Ronnie Lee,
his parents, and brothers and sisters, Maurine Pulley,
Earnest Wilson, Glen Wilson, Sylvia Hanson, and Lolitta
Wilson; step-mother Nina, and step-brothers, Ted Clift, Roy
Clift, and Melvin Clift.
Funeral Services well be held at 11 a.m. on Friday,
October 5, 2001 at the Goshen LDS Chapel. Friends may call
Thursday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Anderson Funeral
Home and at the church one hour prior to services. Buial
will be in the Vine Bluff Cemetery, Nephi, Utah.
