Bart Feaman
Bart Robert Feaman, age 35, of Spanish Fork, passed away
Monday, Oct. 9, 2000, after a battle with depression. Bart
was born on Mar. 11, 1965, in Ogden, Utah, to Robert L. and
Patricia S. Feaman. He married Michelle Harmon on Oct. 28,
1983. The marriage was solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple on
Oct. 26, 1985.
Bart graduated from Juab High School and Weber State
University in the School of Business in 1987. He was an
active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day
Saints. He was an Eagle Scout and a recipient of the Order
of the Arrow. He served in many positions in the church,
including Young Men's President, Stake Missionary, Ward
Executive Secretary, and Assistant Scout Master. He
currently served as an ordinance worker in the Provo LDS
Temple. He loved working with the youth in church and
community.
He is survived by his wife; four children, Ashley,
Tanner, Karlie, and Audrey; parents of Mesquite, Nevada; two
sisters, Kris (Cory) Frampton, and Jana (Kevin) Broadhead,
all of Nephi; and a grandfather, Walter Sadowy of Ogden. He
was preceded in death by his grandparents, Lee M. and Susie
Feaman, Ruth C. Feaman, and Verna Sadowy.
Funeral services were held Oct. 14, 2000, at the Spanish
Fork East Stake Center. Burial in Vine Bluff Cemetery,
Nephi, Utah.
Ryan Cowan
"Life is what happens while you're making other plans,"
John Lennon.
Our beloved son, brother and friend, Ryan Bradley Cowan,
age 25, returned home to the loving arms of his Father in
Heaven on Friday, Oct. 13, 2000, at Utah Valley Regional
Medical Center, after a long and courageous battle with
Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy.
Ryan was born June 20, 1975, in Provo, Utah, to Donald R.
and Katheryn J. Cowan, He served on the student council at
Lakeridge Junior High School and was instrumental in the
implementation of a wheelchair ramp at the Lakeridge LDS
Seminary building. He was a 1994 graduate of Mountain View
High School and LDS Seminary. While attending high school,
Ryan enjoyed drafting and art classes and singing with the
Bass Clef Union men's chorus.
Overcoming significant physical challenges, Ryan
enthusiastically served a church service mission at the
Provo Utah LDS Temple and Missionary Training Center. He was
committed to serving his Heavenly Father. There was never a
question if he would serve, but only when and how. He was a
faithful home teacher.
After serving his mission, Ryan worked at the Sears Tele
Center as a customer service representative and was proud to
help further the awareness and inclusion of handicapped
individuals in the workplace.
Ryan had a passion for railroading and model train
collecting. He was a member of the Ophir, Tintic and Western
Model Railroading Club. He enjoyed creative writing and was
working on a science fiction novel. He had a gift for
technical drawing and loved to design concept cars. He loved
to travel with his parents and other family members.
Ryan touched so many lives and will be greatly missed by
all who knew and loved him, He is survived by his parents;
his sisters, Deborah Beasley of American Fork, Stephanie
(Curtis) Seipert of American Fork, Suzy (Brook) Tangren of
Nephi, Michelle (Steven) Dickerson of Orem, Kymberli
(Charles) Clayton of Redmond, Washington; nine adoring
nieces and nephews; and his constant loving companion, a
beagle named "Prince."
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 17, 2000,
at 11 a.m. at the Orem, Utah Sunset Heights Stake Center
located at 1260 South 400 West. There will be a viewing the
previous Monday evening at the Sundberg Olpin Mortuary at
495 South State Street in Orem from 6 to 9 p.m. and on
Tuesday morning from 10 to 10:45 a.m. prior to the services.
Interment will be at the Orem City Cemetery.
