RISING FROM THE ASHES • After the Salt Creek Fire the Scrub Oak was mostly burned off in Salt Creek Canyon, but like the Phoenix, new green growth has appeared from the roots and now shows as bright green patches on the burned rocky hillsides. Take a ride this Saturday up the canyon. It is turning into quite a show.
