Geraldine Johnson

Funeral services for Geraldine Allred Johnson, age 91, of Fountain Green, Utah, were held Tuesday, Sept. 17, 2002 in the Fountain Green LDS First Ward Chapel.

She passed away Sept. 11, 2002, in Nephi, Utah. She was born Oct. 31, 1910, in Fountain Green to Joseph Franklin Allred and Mary Cathrin Robertson Allred. She married DeVere Johnson on March 16, 1934, and the marriage was later solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple on May 21, 1966. He passed away Feb. 21, 2002.

Geraldine spent many years working at the Moroni Processing Plant. She was a member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers. She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and served in many callings, including Ward Organist, and Ward Choir Director.

She is survived by her 3 children, daughter, Gayle Johnson of St. George; sons Steven (Kathy) Johnson and Greg (Sandy) Johnson of Fountain Green; 12 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and sisters, Anna Estell Allred, Ila Holman, Ruby Erickson, and Katie Nelson.

Internment was in the Fountain Green City Cemetery.
