Reva Francom
Reva Christensen Francom of American Fork passed away
Aug. 25, 2002, in American Fork. She was born July 25, 1915,
in Levan, Utah, to Herman Otto and Ann Mennel Taylor
Christensen. She was the oldest child and had two sisters,
Blanche Pexton of Nephi, and Olivene Sorenson of Provo.
Reva attended school in Levan and Nephi. After
graduating from high school, she worked at the hotel in
Nephi. She married Gordon Joseph Francom June 25,1936, in
the Manti LDS Temple. They lived in Levan, Los Angeles,
Provo and finally moved to American Fork.
Reva was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of
Latter-day Saints, and she worked as Primary Teacher, Relief
Society Chorister and Relief Society Visiting Teacher. She
worked for the church doing Spanish extraction work. Reva
loved to sing and for a while was a member of the American
Fork town chorus.
She is survived by her four children, Donell G.
(Julie) Francom of Salt Lake City, Duane L. (Sally) Francom
of American Fork, Ann L. (Ron) Olson of Mesa, Arizona, and
David L. (DeeAnn) Francom of American Fork. She was preceded
in death by her husband, Gordon Joseph Francom.
Funeral services were held August 30, 2002, at 11 am.
in the American Fork 13th Ward. Burial in the Levan
Cemetery.
