Funerals
Bettie Beach
- Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Tuesday,
October 3, 2000 in the Nephi North Stake Center, 1100
North 400 East. Friends may call Monday evening from 6-8
PM at the Anderson Funeral Home, 94 West 300 North and at
the church one hour prior to services. The burial will be
in the Vine Bluff Cemetery Nephi, Utah.

Stella Boswell
Stella Harris Boswell, age 90, passed away Sept. 19,
2000, in Nephi, Utah.
She was born Apr. 6, 1910, in Nephi to Evan J. Harris and
Sarah Mariah Tolley. She married Alonzo Boswell Dec. 10,
1935, in Nephi. They were later divorced.
She was an active member of the LDS Church serving in
many position throughout her life. She was a active business
woman in Nephi for many years where she owned and operated
Nephi Cleaners.
She is survived by her children, Connie (Gerald) Craig of
Arizona, and Richard K. (Paula) Boswell of Mt. Vernon,
Washington; 9 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and 5
great-great-grandchildren; sister, Blanch Anderson of Orem.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Trudy (Gary)
Peterson; brothers, Charles Harris and Jay Harris; and a
sister, Aleta Swasey.
Funeral services were held Sept. 25, 2000, in the Nephi
Stake Center. Burial in Vine Bluff Cemetery Nephi, Utah.
Irene Aiken
Irene T. Aiken, age 91, died Sept. 20, 2000. She was born
in Nephi, Utah, Apr. 26, 1909, to Charles Roscoe and Sadie
Sophia Sperry Tolley. She married Archibald Quince Aiken on
Mar. 14, 1934, in Nephi. Their marriage was solemnized in
the Manti LDS Temple on Apr. 29, 1936.
She was recognized with an Outstanding Citizen Award from
Snow College for her service to the community. She loved to
share her quilts, afghans, garden vegetables, genealogy,
bottled fruit and her special pickles.
She was an active member of the LDS Church and served in
many organizations. She served in the Relief Society and was
in the presidency for nearly 25 years. She was a visiting
teacher for over 45 years. She enjoyed attending the temple
with her husband until his death.
She is survived by her four daughters, Annette (Kenneth)
Sears of Sandy, Linda (Osral) Allred of Spring City, Dorothy
(Louis) Cook of Fountain Green, and Sandra (Boyd) Beck of
Spring City; 20 grandchildren; and 36 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother,
Alan Tolley; grandson, Robert Beck; and great-grandson,
Jeremy Cox.
Funeral Services were held in the Spring City LDS Chapel
on Monday, Sept. 25, 2000. Burial in the Spring City
Cemetery.
Kristeen Foote
Kristeen Foote, age 30, daughter of Glen L. Foote and Pat
Ashton Foote of Nephi/Ephraim passed away Sept. 25, 2000, of
natural causes.
Kris attended school in Gunnison, Ephraim, Manti and
Nephi, and graduated from Juab High School.
Due to severe head trauma at the age of 27, Kris endured
many trials in her life. She learned to work and was a very
hard worker. Kris loved to sing and dance.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Rodney Lynn, her
paternal grandparents, and maternal grandmother. She is
survived by parents of Ephraim; brothers, Jim (Leota) of
West Jordan, and Bob (Amy) of Eagle Mountain.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to
Primary Children's Hospital in Kris' name.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, Sept. 28, at 11
a.m. in the Ephraim Stake Center. Friends may call at the
Stake Center from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. for viewing prior to
the services. Interment will be in the Nephi City Cemetery
at 1 p.m. Funeral Directors Buchanan Mortuary, Manti,
Utah.
