Don was born January 24, 1927 in Bingham Canyon to Jake Jones and Zola Allred. He was raised in Nephi by his mother and stepfather Leon Howard. He was a graduate of Juab High School and continued his education at Snow College and Utah State University. He married Arlene Jarrett on April 24,1952 and they had 4 children. They were later sealed in the Manti Temple. They later divorced. He then married Peggy Hanks who preceded him in death September 01, 2004. Don worked for the BLM for 25 years and farmed in his spare time. He then retired to his full time passion of farming and growing alfalfa hay. Don was an avid Utah Jazz fan and enjoyed going to and watching their games. He is survived by his 4 children Katherine Green of Albuquerque NM, Rod (Ginny) Jones of Levan, Russell (Diane) Jones of Nephi, Brad (Heidi) Jones of South Jordan, 13 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Our family would like to give special thanks to the wonderful medical staffs that cared for him in his time of need. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, August 30, 2007 at the Nephi 5th wards LDS church (350 East 500 North Nephi, UT.) There will be a viewing one hour prior to the services at the church on Thursday and from 6-8 PM on Wednesday, August 29th at Anderson Funeral Home, 95 West 300 North Nephi.
