  • McKenzie Lundell crowned Miss Juab County

The 2006 Miss Juab County Scholarship Pageant was held August 7. Six contestants competed for the title. The theme was "The Tradition Continues."

Co-Masters of Ceremonies were Chad Winn, Fair Board President, and Whitney Worwood, Miss Juab County 2005. Miss Worwood performed a musical number, accompanied by her father and uncle.

A special tribute was given to Dona Jones, who founded the pageant in 1961 and has tirelessly served through the years. She was accompanied by her daughter, LouAnn Thalman, Pageant Chair.

The stage was decorated with gowns worn by past Queens. During the pageant, the contestants worn gowns and dresses from past decades.

Past Juab County Queens were introduced on stage. Several were given the opportunity to tell about their most memorable experience as Queen.

The new Royalty will reign over the 2006 Juab County Fair, August 8-12. They will represent Juab County at various parades throughout the year. Miss Juab will also be honored at the Utah State Fair in September.

Plagues were given to five ladies for their years of service on the Fair Board.
