![]() The Juab County Fair will host the Miss Juab County Scholarship Pageant on Monday, August 7, when the new Miss Juab County 2006 will be crowned. The pageant will be held in the Juab Junior High School Auditorium at 7:00 p.m. This year's fair theme is, "The Tradition Continues." Six contestants will vie for the title. Milinda Esplin is the daughter of J. Lynn and Tana Esplin. Her talent will be a character vocal. She will continue at Snow College on a Theater Scholarship, majoring in Theater Education. She hope to teach at the university level. Candice Grimstead is the daughter of Gordon and Leigh Grimstead. She will perform a vocal number. She plans to go to college to become a Dental Hygenist. McKenzie Lundell is the daughter of Gary and Leanna Lundell. She will perform a Jazz dance. She plans to attend Utah Valley State College and major in Dance Education and be in the Leadership program. Emily Motes is the daughter of William and Cheryl Motes. She will perform a traditional Native American hoop dance for her talent. She plans to attend Utah Valley State College and major in Secondary Education with a history minor. She hope to teach high school history. Ashley Day is the daughter of Todd and Cheryl Day. Her talent will be reciting cowboy poetry. She plans to attend Utah State University and earn a Bachelor degree in Animal Science then attend school to become a veterinarian. Rachel Bradford is the daughter of Blain and Barbara Bradford. She will be performing a vocal number. She plans to attend Utah Valley State College, majoring in Behavioral Science with a minor in music. She hope to obtain a Masters degree and become a counselor. The contestants will perform their talent, model evening gowns and past era wear, give a personal thought and answer an on stage question at the pageant. Whitney Worwood, Miss Juab County 2005, will crown the new royalty. Past Miss Juab County Queens have been invited to be special guests at this year's pageant. It will be a night filled with lots of talent and entertainment as we bring in this year's county fair. The public is invited to attend, free of charge. The new 2006 royalty will reign over the fair week festivities, August 8-12. Miss Juab County will represent the county at the Miss Utah State Fair Pageant in Salt Lake City in September. |
