Martha (Marty) Allred
1946-2005
Marty Allred 58, passed away August 20, 2005 at her home
in Fountain Green, Utah. Sweet, gentle, and
understanding wife, mother, grandmother and friend.
Always caring, giving and lovable. She was born
September 19, 1946 in Mt. Pleasant, Utah, to John (Happy)
and Martha Stulce, step-mother Gladys Stulce.
She married Don Allred April 18, 1964. She is
survived by her children. Dennis (Kristie) Allred, Cody
(Nanette) Allred, LaDawn Peterson; 8 grandchildren, Ashley,
Crystal, Tyler, Randy, Cassady, Taelure, Quade, Zailee;
siblings, Betty Marx, Delora (Robert) Luther; numerous
nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her husband
Don G. Allred, mother and father John (Happy) and Martha
Stulce, step-mother Gladys Stulce; brothers, John, Lou, Mel,
George, Zeck, Jack; also sister, Edna.
Marty enjoyed, astrology, teaching, camping and loved
time with grand-children, family and friends.
Memorial services will be held August 27, 2005 at 1:00
p.m., 155 North 500 West, Fountain Green. Friends, family
and neighbors may stop by and express condolences. The
family request any donations to the Far West Bank in Mt.
Pleasant in the name of Marty Allred.
Marva Anderson
1929-2005
Marva LaRue Keyte Higginson Anderson, age 75, passed away
peacefully on August 20, 2005 in Provo, Utah.
She was born October 19, 1929 in Mona, Utah, to Floyd
Eugene and Lillian Leola Houghton Keyte.
She worked at Castanova's Lobster House in California for
many years. She was an active member of the LDS Church and
loved to attend the temple. She served as funeral lunch
coordinator for the Relief Society in her ward for many
years. She was a member of the Daughters of the Utah
Pioneers and had many friends in that organization. She
drove the bus for the Senior Citizens for several years. She
loved to shop, read, camp, and ride 4-wheelers. She was also
an avid bunco player. She had a big heart and many stray
animals found their way into it. She always had a smile for
everyone.
Survived by her daughter, Dawn Sheryl (Kevin) Sperry of
Nephi; grandchildren, Summer Dawn Sperry and George Jeffery
Zakurdaev of Nephi; sister Betty (Mont) Yates of Mona.
Preceded in death by her son Lawrence Craig Higginson; three
brothers, Verlael, Lowell, and Farren Keyte; sister
Delone.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday,
August 24, 2005 in the Mona LDS Chapel. Friends may call
Tuesday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the Anderson Funeral Home,
94 West 300 North Nephi, Utah, and at the church one hour
prior to the services. Interment will be in the Mona
Cemetery.
Ron E. Olsen
1939-2005
Ron E. Olsen (Ronald Ellis Olsen) of Kingman, Arizona,
passed away Tuesday, August 16, 2005, from complications
from injuries sustained Memorial Day weekend in a truck
towing accident near Sun City.
Ron was born February 4, 1939, in Richfield, Utah, to
Donald Ellis Olsen and Anne Lucile Greenwood
Olsen. They lived in Richfield during Ron's childhood
and school years through tenth grade. The family then
moved to Blanding, Utah, where Ron graduated from Blanding
High School. Thereafter he attended Snow College in
Ephraim, Utah, and Brigham Young University in Provo,
Utah.
Ron E. Olsen married Ann Louise Francom, daughter of
Gordon J. and Reva Christensen Francom, May 12, 1962.
Their marriage was later solemnized in the Manti Utah Temple
of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
Mr. Olsen is a lifelong member of the Church of Jesus
Christ of Latter-Day Saints where he had served in the
capacities of Sunday School teacher, teacher development
leader, home teacher, and as a member of the High Council of
the Lihui Stake in Kawai, Hawaii for several years.
Ron had served as a scoutmaster in the Boy Scouts of
America.
Ron is survived by Ann Olsen of Queen Creek, Arizona;
eight children: Ron A. Olsen (Karrissa) of Kingman,
Arizona; Russell G. Olsen (Diana) of Cedar City, Utah; Rand
S. Olsen (Shelly) of Queen Creek, Arizona; Robin Ann (Joseph
Robert) Wirthlin of Lexington, Massachusetts; Rachelle Rae
(Kevin) Veal of Springfield, Oregon; Roxane Ruth (Stephen)
Whyte of Provo, Utah; Ryan C. Olsen (Amber) of Queen Creek,
Arizona; Rebecca Louise (Alan) McHood of Gilbert, Arizona;
one sister, Margene (Ron) Armstrong lives in Modjeska
Canyon, California; 24 grandchildren. One son, Rick
Don Olsen; a grandson, Thaddeus Gordon Veal; and one
brother, Tony Olsen of Bountiful, Utah, preceded Ron in
death.
Ron Olsen is well known for his Rocking "O" horse
trailers and livestock equipment which he designed and
manufactured in American Fork and Nephi, Utah, then sold and
distributed throughout the Western United States and
Canada. Ron also established Western Ambulance
Builders in Nephi, Utah, where he designed, manufactured,
and distributed modular ambulances throughout United States.
The Olsen family lived in Nephi for eight years.
Mr. Olsen was very proud of his family. He
expressed many times the joy he felt knowing that his sons,
sons-in-law, several of his daughters and a daughter-in-law
had served missions for the Church of Jesus Christ of
Latter-Day Saints throughout the world. Ron felt very
happy that Nicholas Klein, his oldest grandchild, is in the
Mission Training Center preparing for his mission for the
Church in the Mexico Merida Mission. Ron encouraged
his children and grandchildren to choose the right and do
their best, to work consistently, and he emphasized to them
the importance of completing a college education.
Viewing and funeral services were held Friday, August 19,
2005 in Kingman, Arizona, at the Sutton Memorial Funeral
Home, 1701 Sycamore Avenue, Kingman, Arizona 86401
(928-757-4022). Graveside services were held Saturday,
August 20, at 4 p.m. in the Levan Town Cemetery at Levan,
Utah, under direction of Anderson Funeral Home, 94 West 300
North, Nephi, Utah 84648 (435-623-0153).
Naomi Jean White
1931-2005
Naomi Jean White, age 73, passed away August 17, 2005 in
Levan, Utah. She was born on December 29, 1931 in Glenwood
Springs, CO. to Fred Abel Olguin and Ellen Agnes
Jackson.
One of her accomplishments was her Associates degree from
Snow College. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ
of Latter-Day Saints. She loved genealogy, her children, her
grandchildren and enjoyed family functions. Not only was she
a friend to everyone, but also loved to go to the
temple.
Survived by her mother Ellen Wandell, Jill White of
Gunnison, Jesse and Deb White of Riverton, Jonah and
Caroline White of Phoenix, Judith Christensen of Levan,
James White of Salt Lake City, Joel and Stephanie White of
Gunnison, Joshua White of Phoenix and 8 grandchildren.
Preceded in death by her father Fred and sister Marie.
As per the request of Naomi, graveside services only were
held at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park, 3401 Highland Drive, on
Saturday, August 20, 2005 at 11:00 a.m.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to a charity of
your choice or to the Primary Children's Medical Center.
