"PINKY"
Dwayne L. McPhie passed away on July 30, 2004. He was
born on September 6, 1928 to William and Athera McPhie.
He worked in the mines of Wyoming until 1955, then
moved to Kemmerer and opened his first restaurant, Pinky's
Toot-N-Tell Cafe. That is where he met his soulmate and the
love of his life Evelyn. They were married in 1957 and later
sealed in the LDS temple. Pinky and Evelyn were in the
restaurant business for over 40 years and worked side by
side until Evelyn's death in 1994. Pinky loved food and
loved to dance, but most of all he loved his family and
friends.
He is survived by a son, Mark (Barb) McPhie of
Kemmerer, WY, and a daughter, Lisa (Floyd) King of Nephi,
UT. Two granddaughters, Merissa and Ahsley McPhie and one
grandson, Jayson King. Two sisters, Mary Robinson of Rock
Springs, WY, and Ramona Cobb of CA, one brother, Cecil
McPhie of Rock Springs, WY. He was preceded in death by his
wife, Evelyn and a son, Kirk, both in 1994.
A special thanks to all of his friends and to Jenn who
he loved like his own daughter.
A graveside service will be held August 3, 2004 in
Salt Lake City. In lieu of flowers, a donations in the name
of Dwayne McPhie to the MS Foundation would be appreciated.
