The Levan Town council decided to transfer $20,000
from the water fund into the general fund. The deficit
occurred from expenditures exceeding the budgeted
amount.
Mayor Bob Shepherd said that there were some insurance
premiums that were in the general fund that should have been
in the revenue funds. He said that if that was transferred
then they wouldn't be out of balance.
"We're in budget, but we spent the road fund," the
mayor said jokingly.
The mayor also recommended that the road fund be
adjusted from $60,000 to $70,000 for this year.
Both motions for transfers of monies were passed by
the council members present. Councilman Rod Wankier was not
present at the meeting.
