Alvin Goble

Alvin M. Goble, age 95, passed away Aug. 21, 2002, in Nephi, Utah.

He was born May 26, 1907, in Cardston, Alberta, Canada, to Alvin and Lillian Marsden Goble. He married Sadie Swasey May 7, 1935, in Mona, Utah. She passed away Oct. 7, 2000.

He was the oldest of 12 children and moved to Nephi in 1916. He farmed in Nephi and retired from Gates Rubber. He loved the outdoors.

He is survived by his children, Edwin Goble of West Point, Carol Roberts of Beaver, William Goble of Salt Lake City, Juanita Takeda of Escondido, California, Susan Okerlund of West Valley City; 13 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren; brother, Rex Goble of Nephi; and sister, Lanea Bird of Orem. He was preceded in death by sons, Don and Gordon; 9 brothers and sisters.

Funeral services were held Aug. 24, 2002, in the Nephi 5th Ward. Interment in the Mona Cemetery.
