Thanh Williamson

Thanh Michelle Davenport Williamson, age 32,  of Nephi, Utah, died Aug. 14, 2002, in St. George, Utah, from injuries sustained in an auto accident in Orderville, Utah.  She was born Aug. 29, 1969, in Honolulu, Hawaii, to David Frederick Davenport and Cheryl Ann Riordan Davenport.

Thanh was raised in Tempe, Arizona, where she graduated from Marcos De Niza High School.  She graduated from Ricks College in Rexburg, Idaho, in 1990.  She worked as a secretary at the BYU Education Advisement Center.  She married Ondi Williamson in the Mesa, Arizona Temple Nov. 20, 1992. Their daughter, Alexa Leigh Williamson, was born Aug. 2, 1995.  Thanh was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she served in the Young Women's Program and Primary.  Her hobbies included scrap booking and decorating her new home.

She is survived by her husband, Ondi and daughter Alexa of Nephi;  grandmother, Pat Riordan of Salt Lake City; parents, Dave and Cheryl Davenport of Phoenix, Arizona; brothers, Matt of Bisbee, Arizona, Mark and Mike of Phoenix, Arizona; sisters, Alesha of San Diego, California, and Malea of Phoenix, Arizona.

Funeral services were held Aug. 19, 2002, in the Juab County Multi-Purpose Building, Nephi. Burial in Vine Bluff Cemetery, Nephi, Utah.


Roger Shepherd

Roger Thomas Shepherd, age 63, passed away Aug. 15, 2002. in Salt Lake City, Utah.

He was born Oct. 24, 1938, in Levan, Utah, to John D. and Gerturde Sherwood Shepherd.

He is survived by his brothers and sister, Willis (Joyce) Shepherd, John (Louise) Shepherd, Gwen (Bill) Cowan, JoAnn (Don) Adam, and Margene (David) Miller.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 21, 2002, at the Anderson Funeral Home, 94 West 300 North, Nephi, Utah. Friends may call one prior the services at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Levan City Cemetery.


John Mora

John Matthew Mora, age 25, passed away Aug. 13, 2002, as a result of an automobile accident.

He was born Jan. 21, 1977, in Payson, Utah, to B.J. and Janet Brough Mora.

John was a member of the Church Of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served in the Monterrey Norte, Mexico Mission. He was a student at Brigham Young University and was employed at Aspen Grove. He was currently serving as a Sunday School teacher.

John loved to go boating, skiing, camping and horseback riding.

John is survived by his parents, B.J. and Janet Mora of American Fork; sister, Crisee (Damon) Peterson of American Fork; brothers, Jamey Don (Amber) Mora of Orem, Benje Mora of American Fork; grandparents, Lawrence and CoDeal Brough of Levan, and Heriberto and Maria Mora of Bountiful.

Funeral services were held Saturday, Aug. 17, 2002, in American Fork. Interment in the Levan Cemetery.


Margaret Howard

Margaret J. Ellertson Howard, age 95, of Nephi, Utah, died Aug. 17, 2002, at Heritage Hills Care Center. She was born Mar. 15, 1907, in Nephi to William M. Jenkins and Jenerva Jones Jenkins. She married LaVon Ellertson on Feb. 12, 1929. He preceded her in death on Sept. 14, 1972. She married Leslie P. Howard on Apr. 18, 1983. He died in 1987.

She has resided in Nephi her entire life. She was educated at Juab High School. She has been active in many church and civic affairs. She organized transportation to the Manti Temple for 8 years. She served as Primary, Sunday School, and Relief Society teacher and was leader of the Singles program for many years. She was also very active in the Senior Citizens program.

Surviving are her daughters, Mrs. Ira Bailey (Marilyn) of Bountiful, Ms. Shirlene Johnson of Bountiful, Mrs. Golden L. Theobald (Carol) of Las Vegas, Nevada, Mrs. Michael Anderson (RaNae) of Tremonton; 15 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and 13 great-great-grandchildren; 4 sisters, Emma McClellen of Union, Oregon, Mildred Taylor of Salem, Donna Barton of Provo, Shirley Collard of Orem; a brother, Allan Jenkins of Delta. She was preceded in death by five brothers, Vaughn, Wallace, Frank, Homer and Elwood Jenkins.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, Aug. 23, 2002, at 12:00 p.m. at the Nephi Stake Center, 351 North 100 West. Friends and family may call from 10:30 to 11:45 a.m. prior to services. Interment will be at the Mona Cemetery under the direction of Anderson Funeral Home.
