Maxine Painter
Maxine Sperry Painter passed away peacefully at her home
in Nephi, Utah, Aug. 6, 2001.
Maxine was born to Ora Price and Joy Dellrain Sperry,
Nov. 17, 1913. She married Reese Painter June 13, 1942, in
Ft. Lewis, Washington, where he was serving in the U.S.
Army. They moved to Levan and later Nephi where they have
spent the last 59 years. Their marriage was solemnized in
the Manti LDS Temple on June 13, 1959.
Maxine was active in the LDS Church where she held
numerous callings. She loved teaching her little Sunday
School Class, where she taught for 25 years. She was also a
Visiting Teacher for many years. She was a member of the
Nephi Women's Federated Club where she held various
offices.
Maxine is survived by her husband, Reese; 5 children,
Blair (Susan), Duane (Diana), Donna (Loren) Callaway, Robert
(Beverly), and Kathryn, all of Nephi; 19 grandchildren; and
12 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her
parents, brother Dell (Jacketta) Sperry, sisters Joy (Jess)
Young and Martha Sperry.
Funeral services will be held Friday, Aug. 10, 2001, at
11:00 a.m. at the Nephi 8th Ward Chapel. Viewing will be
held Thursday, Aug. 9, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Anderson
Funeral Home and one hour prior to services.
Billy Allphin
Billy Daniel Allphin, age 13, of Spanish Fork, Utah,
passed away July 30, 2001, at Utah Valley Regional Medical
Center in Provo. He was born Oct. 23, 1987, in Provo, Utah,
to Dell Daniel Nuzman and Julie Allphin Dulany.
At the time of his death, Billy was a resident of Tiny
Tots Care Center in Orem, Utah. He liked all his many
special friends there.
Billy is survived by his parents: Dell (Cori) Nuzman of
Nephi, and Julie (Jamie) Dulany of Spanish Fork;
grandparents, Mark (Louise) Nuzman, and Marlan (Ann)
Allphin, all of Spanish Fork; great-grandmother, Erma
Shelley of Fairview; and brothers and sisters, Brian Nuzman
of Spanish Fork, Bailey Nuzman and Bracken Nuzman, of Nephi,
Jayce Dulany and Jade Dulany of Spanish Fork.
Graveside services were held Aug. 4, 2001, at Spanish
Fork City Cemetery.
