    Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday August 14, 2000 in the Nephi 7th Ward, 222 South 100 East. Friends may call Sunday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the Anderson Funeral Home, 94 West 300 North and at the church one hour prior to services. Burial will be in the Vine bluff Cemetery Nephi, UT.

Delwin Shepherd

Delwin Robert Shepherd passed away Aug. 1, 2000, at the age of 81. Delwin was born Sept. 19, 1918, in Soda Springs, Idaho, to Gilbert L. Shepherd and Viola Morgan Shepherd. He married Alice Louise Warren in the Manti LDS Temple on Feb. 8, 1939.

Delwin was a veteran of WWII and the Korean War. He worked at Geneva Steel for twenty five years as a certified welder and pipe fitter. He ran his own business "Shep's Welding" and farmed in Levan in addition to his full-time job at Geneva.

Delwin provided many years of service to his community. He served as the Mayor of Levan, President of the Levan Irrigation Company, and in various callings in the LDS Church, including, president of the MIA, Sunday School counselor, and the scouting program.

Delwin had a love for baseball and other sports. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and enjoying the out of doors.

Delwin is survived by his wife; five children, Shirley R. Aiman of Provo, Robert (Ann) Shepherd of Levan, Rona (Kirk) Wood of Roosevelt, Janice (Kevin) Stanley of Mona, and Rodney (Carolyn) Shepherd of Lindon; 24 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Basil and Mont; two sisters, Genivive and Vonna. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Garth, Homer, and Newell, and a sister, Vinese Taylor.

Funeral services were held Aug. 5, 2000, in the Levan LDS Ward Chapel. Burial in the Levan Cemetery.
