PREPARING FOR THE STAMPEDE • Samantha (Sam) Martin, Colton Camp and Jake Nielson, working for Juab County's Fairground maintenance crew, scrape down the old wood bleachers at the Juab County Fairgrounds in preparation for painting prior to next week's Ute Stampede Rodeo. These bleachers, according to Leo Osborne of the Stampede Committee, were built by Wes Lynn Construction in 1984 and those above the chutes were built by Rocking O in 1971. Nephi City's 4th of July community fireworks show has been postponed. The fireworks show will go forward at a later date, when conditions are conducive to a safe show.
