Keith Jones
1915-2005

Keith Harris Jones, age 89, of La Porte, Indiana, died at 8:40 p.m. on Monday, July 4, 2005 of natural causes at Lakeview Community Hospital in Paw Paw, Michigan. He was born August 10, 1915 in New Carlisle, Indiana, to Ellis and Neva (Rogers) Jones. He married Wilma Claire Hunt on September 28, 1940 in La Porte. She preceded him in death June 14, 2002

He was President of Screw Machine Products Co. since 1944, President of Jones Enterprises since 1977, a partner in Space Leasing Co., Secretary-Treasurer Nephi Rubber Products in Utah since 1986.

He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Co-Founder of Friends of the Handicapped in Aruba, Trustee People To People International in Kansas City, Missouri, Director of Hamilton Grove Foundation, Honorary Life Member La Porte Hospital Foundation, Life Member La Porte Family YMCA, where he served on the Board of Directors and received the LaPorte YMCA Distinguished Service Award in 1988, Fund raising Committee for People To People & La Porte Hospital Foundation, honorary member of The Aruba, Netherlands Antilles YMCA. Outstanding La Porte JC Citizen 1973, Elk of The Year 1972, received the La Porte Rotary Club award for Professional Achievement and received the Sagamore of The Wabash Award. Former Director First America Bank for 14, years, Director La Porte Hospital for 13 years, and Director of La Porte Hospital. Foundation, Chairman United Way Fund Drive, where he received the Gold Award.

His survivors are: son, Terry H. (Fran) Jones of La Porte; son, K. Brian (Gloria) Jones of La Porte; 8 grandchildren: Jaimie (James) Jones, Andrew Jones, Eli (Jenny) Jones, Anna Jones, Amy (Chris) Fewell, Ethan (Kristin) Jones, Gillian Jones and Haley Jones; 5 great-grandchildren: Bailee and Bodie Jones and Claire, Luke and Zachary Fewell; sister, Eleanor J. De Marco of La Porte; and Long-time trusted friend, Lois A. Weeden of LaPorte. He was prededed in death by 3 sisters, Marvel Warner, Virginia Ebeling, and Eloise Schultz; 2 brothers, Kenneth and George Jones.

A funeral service was held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 9, 2005 at the LaPorte First United Methodist Church with Rev. Doug Hadley officiating. Interment at the Wills Township Baptist Cemetery, La Porte Co.

Visitation was 4:00-7:00 p.m. on Friday at Cutler Funeral Home and Saturday at the church from 9:00

Phyllis Rhead
1948-2005

Phyllis Rae Wilson Brown Rhead was born on December 13, 1948 to Robert Ray and Florene Nielsen Wilson, Provo, Utah. She died on July 3, 2005 at home in Santaquin.

Phyllis graduated from Orem High School and Seminary. She loved horses, loved to fish, crochet, she loved little babies, roses, and she loved to swim any chance she had. She was a good cook. She resided in Santaquin for many years.

She is survived by her children, John R. (Tracy) Wilson of Spring Lake, Lisa (Ceasar) Maradiaga of Nephi, Jodi (Richard) Wade of Magna; 9 grandchildren; mother and step-father, Florene and Harold Jensen of Gunnison; brothers and sisters, Grace Ann "Rusti" Johnson of Santaquin, Kent (Glenna) Wilson of Myton, Terry (Willy) Wilson of West Jordan, Larry Wilson of Salt Lake City, Becky (Jeff) Kouns of Mona, Jim (Penny) Wilson of Goshen. She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Wilson of Goshen; brother, Ronnie Lee Wilson; two grandchildren, Garrett Wilson and Christina Maradiaga.

Funeral services were held July 9, 2005 at the Walker Mortuary, Payson. Burial in Vine Bluff Cemetery, Nephi, Utah.
