Glen was born and raised in Nephi. He married Sharleen Malmgren from Levan in 1956. They have 3 children; Stacy (Stu) Egan, Scott (Kristi) Jarrett, Pamela (Mark) Sullivan. They have 11 grandchildren, 1 deceased. Glen moved to Salt Lake City in 1956 where he owned and operated Cottonwood Garage from 1962 to 2000 when he retired. He started riding horses at a very young age, helping with the cattle and doing other farm work. He also worked with draft horses. As a boy, he rode his horse to pass papers during the winter for several years. His horse was his transportation from the farm to town. As a member of FFA at Juab High School, he raised show steers, and won many awards. In his lifetime, Glen has owned many fine riding horses. He has been a member of the Nephi Nebo Posse for over 40 years, never wanting to miss a ride to the Elk Pasture or the 4th of July ride on the Sanpete Mountain. He also enjoyed using his horses to hunt from, he carried many deer and elk off the mountain on his horses. Desert rides with friends have also been fun. Glen spends lots of time on his farm in the Nephi fields. He loves the outdoors, especially 4-wheeling, snowmobiling, camping and boating. |
