A negotiated settlement was made with Juab School District educators.

"The negotiation settlement with certified staff includes a 3.85 percent cost-of-living increase," said Delanie Hathaway, board vice president.

Step and lane changes were also approved at the conclusion of board meeting.

"We will also change from PEHP's Silver health insurance plan to PEHP's Bronze plan," she said.

Juab School District negotiates with the certified staff each year to come up with an acceptable wage and benefits package.

Teachers elect representatives and board members appoint three of there body to meet together to consider items where educators would appreciate board support in addition to discussing wage increases.

The discussions between the teachers and district representatives are an open forum which offer a medium of open discussion or voicing of ideas.

Questions are asked and answers given.

Board members agreed that the format was helpful to both sides.
